2000 sugar workers to receive 5.3 percent pay rise

More than 2000 mill workers at the Fiji Sugar Corporation are getting a 5.3 percent pay increase, equal access to health insurance, and access to the special welfare fund.  Health insurance will now be available to all workers, with FSC paying for 50 percent of the premium, said the Fiji Sugar Corporation Chairman Abdul Khan. Leprosy cases increase in Kiribati

The Kiribati’s Leprosy Department has reported an increase in the number of people diagnosed with leprosy. As the Vodafone South Pacific Hobie Youth Championship rounds up its second day of racing at the National Sailing Centre in Suva Point today, youths from Fiji and Wallis and Futuna have welcomed the competition turnout. Ba special administrator terminated; new special administrators for Ba and Nadi

The special administrator of the Ba Town Council, Arun Prasad, has been relieved of his duties, effective immediately.
