Colombia defeated Greece 3-0 to jump to the top of Group C at the 2014 FIFA world cup (15 June).
The Colombians showed no signs of missing their injured star forward Radamel Falcao as they made easy work of Greece.
Pablo Armero opened the account for the South Americans in the 5th minute after he shot was deflected into goal.
Colombia dominated huge portions of the first half with keeper David Ospina having almost nothing to do.
The teams went into the break 1-0.
Teófilo Gutiérrez added Colombia’s second 58 minutes from close range after a spree of attacks.
Greece missed a number of chances to haul themselves back in the game and could have reduced the deficit in the 61st minute when Theofanis Gekas headed against the bar from point-blank range.
James Rodríguez grabbed a late goal in the 3rd minute of extra time to seal the game.
Colombia plays CÔTE D’IVOIRE next (19 June) in what is expected to be a thriller.
