The Fiji Labour Party will now be able to operate and function as a political party after it was temporarily suspended earlier in July for failing to meet a key financial provision of the Political Parties Decree.

The FLP was required to submit a payment of $6375.60 to the registrar’s office to pay for the cost of the publication of its declaration of assets and liabilities, which was due on July 15th but failed to do so.

Registrar of Political Parties Mohammed Saneem says the suspension have now been lifted after the party paid the full sum.
