ANZ today announced a partnership with the Fashion Council of Fiji to help connect local designers to business opportunities.
ANZ Fiji Acting Chief Executive Officer, Saud Minam, said the partnership includes the delivery of ANZ’s flagship financial literacy program, MoneyMinded and MoneyMinded Business Basics to members of the Fashion Council at no cost to participants.
“There’s tremendous creative talent in Fiji and we want to see their business success,” Mr Minam said.
‘We appreciate that small business owners, including our talented local artists, want learning opportunities such as this and we are committed to helping their businesses grow,” he added.
MoneyMinded is ANZ’s comprehensive suite of adult financial education programs that aims to improve financial skills, knowledge and confidence.
It has been successfully delivered to over 10,000 people across the Pacific since it was introduced in 2010.
“More recently we have expanded the program for small business through MoneyMinded Business Basics for SME’s, which recognizes the important link between the success of small businesses and economic welfare of communities,” Mr Minam said.
Fashion Council of Fiji Chair, Faraz Ali welcomed the collaboration with ANZ stating that innovative partnerships such as this would help aspiring designers gain more exposure to local and international markets while building their business skills.
“Exposing our members to these opportunities will be key to their growth and we would like to thank ANZ for the collaboration and first ever initiative of its kind for Fiji and the Pacific,” Mr Ali said.
“In particular, we are looking forward to connecting our designers this month to guests going to the prestigious ANZ Excellence in Tourism Awards being held in Nadi on February 18,” he added.
