Cathedral Secondary School defended their title at the Tadra-Kahani ‘Dream Story Stage Show’ this year after a brilliant performance on stage highlighting the issue of violence against women in Fiji.
With the theme ‘Abolish Violence Against Women,’ their show had a dark, exciting and also a tinge of sadness to their play which the students captured perfectly with their dance which had the makings of talented choreographer Glen Lord written all over it.
Other schools that also impressed was International School Suva with the theme ‘Gambling’ as well as Basden College on ‘Financial Literacy.’
Nine schools took part in the Senior Division category while there was no Junior Division this year, though a special guest performance was performed by the 2012 Junior Division Winner International School Suva (Primary).
Cathedral Secondary School walked away with $2500 while Lomary Secondary School was the first runner-up taking $1,500. Lomary also won the Best Concept special award while the seconnd runner-up went to John Wesley College who won $1,000. They also won the Best Lighting award.
Dilkusha Methodist High School won the Best Audience Response award, Best Backdrop was won by Basden College, the Best Costume Design, Hair and Make-up award and Best Backstage Crew went to International School Suva.
The Best Sound Track went to International School Nadi.
