Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 7:30pm on Sunday the 15th of March 2015

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LAND AREAS OF THE WESTERN HALF OF VITI LEVU, mind YASAWA AND MAMANUCA GROUP, VANUA LEVU, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, KADAVU AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUP.

A STRONG WIND WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR LAND AREA AND WATERS OF ROTUMA.

Situation: A weakening trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain remains slow moving over Fiji.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:

Strong north-westerly winds with average speeds of 45 to 60km/hr and momentary gusts to 80km/hr over the Western half of Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group. Winds easing later tonight. Elsewhere fresh north-westerly winds, gusty at times.
Occasional rain, easing to showers from later tonight.
Rough to very rough seas.
Outlook for TUESDAY : Occasional showers and few thunderstorms over most places.

For Navua / Suva / Nausori :
Occasional rain, easing to showers from later tonight.
Outlook for TUESDAY : Some showers and thunderstorms.

For Nadi / Lautoka / Ba :
Occasional rain, easing to showers from later tonight.
Outlook for TUESDAY : Showers and thunderstorms.

For Labasa :
Occasional rain, easing to showers from later tonight.
Outlook for TUESDAY : Showers and thunderstorms.

For Savusavu : Occasional rain, easing to showers from later tonight.
Outlook for TUESDAY : Showers and thunderstorms.

For Rotuma : Over Land: Northerly winds 45 to 55km/hr, gusting to 80km/hr. Winds easing and becoming moderate to fresh later tonight.
Over Waters: Northerly winds 25 to 30 knots gusting to 45 knots.
Winds easing and becoming 20 to 25 knots later tonight. Rough to very rough seas. Moderate to heavy northwest swells.
Cloudy periods with some showers.
Outlook for TUESDAY : Some showers.
