QUEEN of the fashion industry Ellen Whippy-Knight paid a surprise visit to maiLife office today to present a Certificate of Special Recognition for our support from 2008 to 2017.
“Your support in publicity and awareness of the work Fiji Fashion Week does over the years has grown drastically,” Knight-Whippy said.
“I have only this certificate to give you but your work means a lot,” she said.
Mrs Whippy-Knight thanked maiLife Magazine publisher Ms Naziah Ali and her team for their hard work throughout the years and hopes the magazine will continue to give the new team at FJFW their full support.
“We have laid the foundation for them and I think FJFW has a huge future.”
Ms Ali also thanked Mrs Whippy-Knight for their support in providing the magazine with content and always being there when we needed to interview people from the fashion industry.
“You have also made our work easier and you may not realise it, but some of our content have been driven by the events you do and that also helps a vibrant media industry which we all appreciate and its good FJFW will continue,” Ms Ali said.
“Well done for your hardwork and 10 years is a long time and it is not easy but to step away is even harder because it is something that you have nurtured over the years and I wish you all the best.”
