Fiji Police are investigating two deaths in the Western Division.
In the first incident, a 30-year-old man was found lying in the compound of a 54-year-old taxi drivers home at Naikabula, Lautoka, yesterday morning with visible head injuries.
He was rushed to hospital after being found at 4.30am, but died after 9am at the hospitals Intensive Care Unit.
Police are trying to find out how the man ended up at the compound early yesterday.
In the second incident, Police have a 54-year-old Suva taxi driver in custody at the Ba Police Station after the death of his wife yesterday.
The wife was stabbed with a kitchen knife following a dispute at Wailailai, Ba.
The two had been separated since August this year due to some marital problems and the victim had gone to Ba to visit relatives.
She was rushed to the Ba Mission Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Both cases have been classified as alleged murder.
