My time in Fiji is drawing to a close and it’s been four unforgettable weeks. I’ve had to opportunity to see so much more of the country than I’d ever expected, from Suva and Nadi, to Vanua Levu and the Yasawas.

I’ll be incredibly sad to leave behind the other volunteers I’ve met as well as the lovely family I’ve been staying with, who have welcomed me into their home so readily. I’ve been treated like one of their own and it has really helped me to settle in and enjoy my time here.

With one weekend left before my flight on Monday there are still some things I want to do, including a last night out in Suva and some souvenir shopping for my family back in England. Then it’s just packing and preparing for six weeks backpacking around New Zealand.
