Police seek help on Lautoka death, taxi driver in custody

Police are seeking information that could help with the investigation into the death of a 30-year-old man on Sunday morning.

At this point investigators are trying to find out how the victim, who was last seen in Lautoka Town driving his van, ended up at the compound of a 54-year-old taxi driver’s home in Naikabula, Lautoka.

After being found unconscious the man was transferred to Lautoka Hospital, but later died at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

The post mortem examination will be conducted today.

Anyone with information is requested to call the Lautoka Police station.

Meanwhile, a 54-year-old taxi driver of Nabua, Suva, remains in police custody following the death of his 47-year-old wife at Wailailai, Ba, on Sunday.

The post mortem examination for the stabbing victim is also being conducted today as investigations into both cases continue.
