MORE than 100 buyers converged in Singapore last week to attend the inaugural Tourism Fiji Roadshow 2017.
The primary focus was to increase travel agent’s awareness and knowledge of Fiji and our diverse range of tourism products.
Minister for Industry, Trade & Tourism Mr Faiyaz Siddiq Koya stated that there is great potential for the Singapore market and through these roadshows we provide Fijian tourism suppliers the opportunity to connect with sellers.
“One on one meetings with leisure and MICE agents also enables the forging of new relationships and enhancement of existing ones which are important for emerging markets like Singapore,” Mr Koya said.
The two-day roadshow saw a total of 6 Fijian operators participating. These included our national carrier Fiji Airways, Matamanoa Island Resort, Mana Island Resort &Spa, Tour Managers Fiji, Pearl Resort and Rosie Holidays Fiji.
Tourism Fiji CEO Matthew Stoeckel said the roadshow is an excellent way to increase awareness of Fiji as a magnificent holiday destination for Singaporeans.
“The workshop allows us to help our trade partners understand all that Fiji has to offer and provide them with the destination knowledge they need to sell Fiji,” he said.
